I’ve owned this car since 1999. I bought it off a guy who autocrossed it and had the dashed removed so I don’t know the total miles on the car. It has 19,900 miles on it since we started running the V8 in it in 2009. My Dad and I have done all the work and upgrades including the engine and rear end transplant.
The car was used for autocrossing and track days. We also competed in the One Lap of America race the last three years where we finished 1st in the vintage foreign class in 2009 and 2010 and 2nd in 2011. We also finished 39th, 41st, and 33rd overall in those three years. The car is very competitive with stock C5 Z06’s and C6 base corvettes as well as stock Vipers. We saw a top speed of 155mph at Daytona and our best quarter mile was 12.9 sec at 111mph. It has a 53/47% front to rear weight split and handles very well. We found the limits of the stock brakes last year at the faster tracks, but with the Brembo big brakes there is not a hint of brake fade. I will sell the Brembo set up to who ever buys the car if they want them for an extra $2500 or else I am going to keep them for my next project.
