I had some thought on the alternate fuel class?

what class will a TDI be classed 8) in, this is an alternate fuel to gas, and is compared in car & driver to the other hybrid cars?

has anybody ever entered a sun powered car, or electric car.

The VW TBI would, according to our latest rule changes be included in the Alt Fuel class, as would all diesels.
Nobody has yet entered a solar or fully electric vehicle, in fact we've only had one entry so far in the class and it was the Honda Civic Hybrid driven by Ed Olkkola and Brian Healy.
We do have a award for the slowest vehicles, the "All Remaining Cars Trophy" celebrates the team that completes the event and has the least to show for it. While hardly a triumph in competition the prize from G Force certainly makes up for any shortcomings of car or driver.

Yarrow,
Get a hold of one of those Euro 150 or 180 DIN HP TDI engines. All that power + 50MPG, that would be pretty interesting. Swap the tranny with the limited slip, the AP brakes and the suspension off the other car onto that and your set.
