20 Apr 2023 : A few notes before the event

This is our first time at the Holiday Inn as the Waterford has changed owners again and aren't interested in having us. I'm not sure what to expect but since the normal bar and restaurant area is very small, I have asked for a bar and tables be set up in a banquet room for our use. Registration and Merchandise will be in the same area. Even though their Front Desk manager was at the Waterford for years and helped me make the reservations, the other staff seems clueless. I have no idea what will happen while we're there but since there are no other hotels in the greater south Bend area with a bar and restaurant, we'll make the best of the situation. Registration and Tech will be at the hotel on Friday followed by the Driver's Meeting. Please arrive early enough, perhaps the day before, to insure completing the process before the meeting. Tech will be checking head and neck restraints, Hans or Hybrid plus helmets, suits and other requirement equipment. Please make sure your safety equipment is compliant with our rules and correct for your vehicle. Cars deemed unsafe or improperly equipped will not be allowed to run. We still have 20 teams on the wait list. If for some reason, you can't join us, whether on the confirmed or wait list, you won't make the show, please let up know asap so others can run.
